I have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. As a child, I spent many afternoons learning watercolour technique from my great aunt who was a commercial artist. Whenever I had the chance I sketched and painted. Later on I became interested in intaglio, graduating from OCAD with a diploma in printmaking.
Most frequently, I work in pencil, conte, charcoal, watercolour, coloured pencils and acrylic. I like to work with low voc and solvent-free materials wherever possible.
I enjoy hiking and gardening in my spare time and many of my pieces are directly influenced by nature. I mostly draw people, but I love recreating plants and wildlife in my work as well.
